NGO Committee members are a powerful voice against human trafficking. Committee members:
Initiate actions that address this serious problem both locally and at the UN, since trafficking in persons occurs within countries and across national borders.
Facilitate organizing at all levels, especially the grassroots, access to UN processes and agencies, and collaboration with current anti-human trafficking campaigns.
Advocate for stronger mechanisms to monitor compliance with commitments to prevent, protect and prosecute under the Palermo Protocols and the International Labor Organization.
Support efforts that provide services to victims of trafficking in persons.
